HM is seeking a Infant Educator/ Child Development Specialist

for in-home Early Intervention

HM Therapy currently has a rewarding employment opportunity for an Experienced Early Interventionist (Infant Educator / Child Development Specialist) that is passionate about working with children from birth to three years of age in the home-setting/natural environment. Please be advised that this is a developmental intervention position and not a behavioral intervention position. All clinicians must be trained in the global development of children from birth to three years of age.

Job Overview: Our experienced early interventionists are responsible for facilitating the development and growth of clients with developmental delays in reaching developmental milestones through play-based developmental intervention in the natural environment. Our ideal candidate has a minimum of 1+ years of direct early intervention experience working for an early intervention program in the natural environment and is passionate about joining a team with great growth potential! Our ideal candidate has a strong track record within early intervention and is passionate about direct treatment within the natural environment but interested in long term leadership potential.

Job Duties: Below is a sample of our expectations related to job duties for our Infant Educator:

  • Meet the client's goals/needs by providing quality care through treatment sessions, and/or evaluations.
  • Assisting in developing and updating the plan of treatment.
  • Help clients reach developmental milestones through the implementation of treatment that pertains to the client's age and/or capabilities.
  • Observing, recording, and reporting information on the patient's progress to the attending physician and in the patient's health record or in the patient's file.
  • Advising, consulting, and when appropriate, instructing family and/or other personnel in patient's therapy program.
  • Maintaining client trust by keeping information confidential
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment through compliance of procedures, rules, and regulations of facility.
  • Ensures operation of equipment by completing maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions.
  • Maintaining professional knowledge by attending educational workshops.

Job Qualifications: Please review the qualifications that are required for this position. All candidates must have the following:

  • Languages: Clinician must be able to support both Spanish-speaking families and English-speaking families with incredible communication.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or Relevant Child Development Field
  • Must have prior experience as an Infant Educator, with emphasis on birth to three population
  • Passion for empowering parents to support their children with developmental delays
  • Clinical Documentation Experience (Writing Samples are required)
  • Experienced infant development clinician who is reliable with world-class communication skills (written and verbal communication)
  • Must pass background check and drug screening
  • Must be able to make an 18-month commitment due to continuity of care requirements
  • Must be able to accept 20 treatment visits assigned per week.
  • Must have open availability during the week during mornings and afternoons.

This position will start out at part time, working into a full-time position as your caseload builds up. Benefits will be added in once employee has reached an average of 25 clients per week.
